
The Core Life Wheel
Putting yourself first starts with you prioritising you, your health and your wellness. It is about you digging deep, connecting and being honest with yourself to have awareness and create the life you choose.
Core Life is a technique used to dig deep on the areas within your life that shape and guide who you are, how you act and the way you live your life. If you have done the wheel of life you will be used to the format. If not we can guide you through.
Core Life is about digging deep and connecting with yourself on each area within the wheel to have a reality check on exactly where you are right now within that area of your life. Once you have done that, it is about you thinking about where you want to be.

How to use Core Life
1. Use the wheel provided to download or draw out your own copying the titles as they are for each area.
2. Take a deep breath in and out and ask yourself to be honest and connect with your core / inner self. Now one by one for each area ask yourself, where am I now? What's the reality, not worse than it is, not better than it is. Just where it honestly is for you. Score 1 - 10 within the wheel by marking the number and drawing a line across at that level for that area (1 being low and disatisfied, 10 being high and happy). Now repeat for each area.
3. Now take a step away, make a drink and come back. Deep breathe in and out and ask yourself to dream. Now one by one for each area ask yourself where do you want to be? Without limitations what is your ideal score? To be at your happiest where do you want and need to be? Score 1 - 10 within the wheel with a different coloured pen or using a different mark like a sqiggly line, mark the number and draw a line across at that level for that area. (1 being low and disatisfied, 10 being high and happy). Now repeat for each area.
4. Okay so now you have your reality and where you want to be, look at it, reflect on it, allow yourself to think into the reasons for the gaps and start to think about how you can move towards where you want to be.
Any change or movement towards the life you want starts with awareness.
Goal setting
To take the above technique from being aware of your reality now and the future you want, to making it happen is where goal setting against Core Life comes in.
1. List your life areas from your wheel in order of priority for you (this could be the areas that are most important to you for your future or the ones with the biggest gap between your reality now and where you want to be).
2. Start with your first area, look at where you want to be and focus on that. Think about what it means to you to get there, how you will feel when you are there, how you will look, what you will say or hear, how you will act and explain your happiness. Focus on all of these things and imagine you have all that you want within this area and recore all of the above as if you have it.
Remember to make your goal specific with details and dates. For example, "It's March 2024 and I am feeling happy, free and proud of myself for becoming a mum and having a successful business that helps others to live their most authentic and fullest lives unapologetically that all launched when I was pregnant. I am smiling, feeling content and proud to be living my purpose saying to myself anything is possible if you want it to be and everything is for you to create."
3. Now repeat this for every area
4. Be sure to read your goals regularly, add to them to make them more real and watch how by putting your focus on what you want as of you have it makes your goals become a reality by moving towards them. Remember where your focus goes, energy flows so why not pin up your goals somewhere you will see them every day.
Repeat Core Life and your goals quarterly as a minimum or as regularly as needed. Life is a journey and so as the adventure continues things can change, move, adapt, evolve and so should our focus in line with this.
